We often think that dogs are very smart and will search for their homes thousands of miles away, but cats are animals that are not homesick. They often "run away from home" and cannot be found. In South Carolina, the United States, a cat left home for two years and returned home. This time, the cat was not only thousands of miles away from home, but it was found more than 3,000 kilometers away from home. What is going on?

According to foreign media reports, a cat in South Carolina, USA, that had been missing for 2 years was finally found in Southern California, about 2,000 miles (approximately 3,200 kilometers) away, and will be returned to its owner.

According to reports, Kevin, an orange tabby cat, disappeared from his home in South Carolina in 2013. John Welsh, an employee with Riverside County Animal Services in South Carolina, said Kevin was found in a trailer in early March.

During a routine inspection, prosecutors heard a meow. The driver said she had no idea Kevin was inside.

Dehydrated Kevin was then taken to an animal shelter, where his microchip helped track his owner, Cheryl Walls. Cheryl joked that Kevin was already further along than she was.
