According to British media talkSPORT, Thiago Silva’s son Igo has been called up to the England U15 training camp for the first time.

Thiago Silva played 113 times for the Brazilian national team, scored 7 goals, and won the America's Cup in 2019. He has participated in the World Cup 4 times and served as captain in 2014 and 2022.

Although Thiago Silva's son Igo is eligible to represent the Brazilian team, he received a call-up from England's U15 team. However, this call-up is for training camp only and is not expected to include any official games.

Players may become eligible to represent other teams based on their place of residence. Igo has lived in England for more than five years since his father joined Chelsea in August 2020.

Despite this, Igo can still choose to represent the Brazilian team in the future. He shared this achievement on social media. After joining the England U15 team training camp, he wrote on ins: "It is an honor to be invited to participate in my first England training camp. The hard work continues."

Igo is already a member of the Chelsea youth training camp, currently playing for the Blues U15 team, and has won many championships at the youth level. Igo is not the only member of the family to play for Chelsea. His older brother Isago was listed as one of Chelsea's newest youth players in July this year. 16-year-old defender Isago joined the club as U13 and has been promoted to the U18 team. He served as ball boy at the most recent Champions League match against Benfica.

Maresca named a number of young players to the B-team roster last week, including Isago. If Isago or Igo can break into the first team, they will fulfill their father's long-held wish. Thiago Silva has said he would like to see his sons follow in his footsteps and play for Chelsea.

Thiago Silva spent four years at Chelsea from 2020 to 2024, playing 155 times for the team and winning 3 trophies, including the Champions League and Club World Cup. Thiago Silva is still playing football at the age of 41 and rejoined his old club Fluminense after leaving Chelsea last summer.
