TA reported that American entrepreneur Brooklyn Eric has officially confirmed that the consortium he led has no intention of proposing an acquisition of Tottenham.

Eric issued a statement through the London Stock Exchange, meeting the requirements set by the British Takeovers Commission to clarify its intentions by October 24 18 days in advance.

The acquisition rumors began with an "informal expression of interest" on Eric, but according to Tottenham's statement on September 26, the intention was "clearly rejected". A source close to the club owner Lewis family dismissed the interest as "uninvited and unnecessary" and insisted that "the club is not for sale."

In addition to Eric, another consortium called Firehawk also confirmed on October 3 that it had no intention of acquiring Tottenham. In response, Tottenham Hotspur club issued a statement thanking the two consortiums for their "constructive approach" in the discussion and respecting the position of the Lewis family. The statement also confirms that according to relevant regulations, the club is no longer in the "offer period".

The outside world's concern about Tottenham's ownership comes after the club fired Levi, who served as executive chairman last month. Despite this, the Lewis family has repeatedly emphasized that there is no plan for sale at the club.
