Liverpool has not issued an official statement on this funeral at the church in Jota's hometown, Gondomar, northern Portugal.

Portuguese winger Jota Silva, who played for Nottingham Forest, has attended Jota's wake today. Portuguese international Dalot and B Fee, who play for Manchester United, are also expected to go to the church to pay tribute later today, people familiar with the matter said. It is not yet certain whether Ronaldo will fly to Portugal to attend the funeral.
