The Premier League officially informed that the global AWS service (Amazon Web Services) outage has caused the semi-automatic offside system to be temporarily unavailable in today's Premier League match. Offside can only be ruled by crossing the line.

In today's 8th round of the Premier League match between West Ham United and Brentford, Igor Thiago scored his second goal of the game in stoppage time in the first half and helped the team lead by 2 goals. However, the VAR line determined that Thiago participated in the attack in an offside position and interfered with the opponent's players, and the goal was invalid.

The Premier League officially stated: Due to today’s global AWS service outage, semi-automatic offside recognition technology will be temporarily unavailable in tonight’s game. If an offside decision is needed, the video assistant referee will use the virtual offside line technology from previous seasons. If semi-automatic offside technology becomes available again during a match, the feature will be enabled at the appropriate time.
