Norway's stars were greeted with thunderous cheers from the balcony of City Hall. Captain Odegaard said: "This is crazy. We feel the support and love from everyone today. It is great to see so many people gathered here. I am really grateful."

The Norwegian Football Association expects 50,000 fans to greet the team outside the city hall. Haaland said in an interview: "It's wonderful to see it all, and it feels great to be part of it. Seeing so many people gathered here makes me proud to be Norwegian and represent this team."
