The Sun: Norwich suspend stadium renovation plans due to fan backlash

The British media "The Sun" reported that Norwich City Club has suspended the renovation plan of the Carrow Road stadium due to strong opposition from fans.

Previously, Norwich announced that it would begin renovations to its home ground this month, including building a new fan area behind the Barclays Stand, renovating the facades of the South Stand and the Regent Security Stand, and introducing new facilities.

The plans will involve the relocation of 3,000 season ticket holders in the Riverside Stand as well as part of the South Stand. However, club owner Mark Attanasio announced that they would "take a step back" and reassess the proposals.

A club spokesman said: "We are aware of the reaction and concerns from fans. As a result, we have decided to postpone this work to give us and the management time to consider the feedback and refine the plan."

Norwich are currently in poor form under new head coach Liam Manning and are currently in 23rd place in the Championship, having lost five games in a row.
