Taiwan Electric recently broke out a 2-nanometer secret leak case. The Taiwan electrician and former employees involved in the case have been removed. Due to suspected violation of the National Security Law, the entire case has been investigated. Since the 2-nanometer confidential leak case has entered judicial investigation, Taiwan Electric and Tokyo Vili Technology Corporation cannot respond. However, market news pointed out that Taiwan Electric may request compensation from Tokyo Vili Technology after obtaining relevant certification from the inspector.

Xiang Tai-jin, the inspection president of the Supreme Inspection Office, said that it usually takes half a year to file a lawsuit against the manufacturer for a criminal case, because the inspection agency did not have systematic training on the national security incident, but the two are closely related. However, business secrets are closely related to national security. From 111 to 114, the proportion of Taiwan's business secrets law that does not afford to file a lawsuit in Taiwan was as high as 70%. The key was that the manufacturer's certificate data was not complete. However, in the remaining 30% of the cases, up to 68.7% were found guilty, and about 2 out of 100 cases were convicted.

Xing Taiyan also said that manufacturers, judicial authorities and inspection authorities must strengthen their expertise in handling confidential cases in order to protect important national technologies and safety.

The National Science and Technology Association has included IC manufacturing technology with a process of less than 14 nanometers into the national core key technology list. Therefore, the agency stated that if the national core key technology business secret is taken, it will be subject to inspection and aggravated the maximum sentence of 12 years in prison and NT$100 million.
