Taiwan Electric's factory (Kumamoto I) located in Kikumai Town, Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan has been mass-produced by the end of 2024, and plans to build the second factory (Kumamoto II) in Kikumai Town, Kumamoto Prefecture. Japanese media pointed out that the investment time of Taiwan's Kumamoto Second Factory will be pushed for 1 and a half years.

Daily Industrial News reported on the 25th that the second factory built by the global crystal OEM project in Kikumachi, Kumamoto Prefecture, is expected to be launched for about one and a half years and will be until the first half of 2029.

Taiwan Electric Chairman and President Wei Zhejia said at the second quarter legal person briefing held on July 17, "With the strong support of the Japanese central government, prefectural government and local governments, our special process crystal factory in Kumamoto has started production in the second half of 2024, and the yield performance is good." The second special process crystal factory is expected to be started later in 2025. The specific schedule depends on the preparation status of local foundation construction, and the production time will also be determined based on customer needs and market conditions.

Taiwan Electric Kumamoto Second Factory originally planned to be run in Q1 2025, and then it will be pushed to "2025". Wei Zhejia once said in June that the delay in the back-end operation was due to "traffic problems" such as car plugs.
